BLAST is an after-school program located in Brenham, TX for kids in 1st through 6th grade. These students experience the Faith, Education, and FUN through big group time (music, games, and bible lessons), small group time, field trips, and more!
Our after-school program offers a Montessori-style approach to education, fostering leadership skills and personal growth for students. By partnering with community members, we help open our students' eyes to new opportunities and skills. Volunteers play a crucial role by engaging students in biblical curriculum, nurturing both educational and spiritual development.
We provide a safe, enriching environment by picking up students after school, offering snacks, and creating a supportive space for growth. This diverse program is driven by community support and dedicated to empowering young minds through both educational and faith-based opportunities.
BLAST is a community supported program funded by generous community donations from all over Washington County.

Who Runs the World (of BLAST)?
Brenham Next's after-school program, BLAST (Brenham Leadership and Spiritual Training, is an after-school program that is focus on faith and education, intended to build a legacy of biblical leaders. We partner with parents, Brenham ISD, and the community to make this happen, and keep it affordable for all students. We certainly couldn't do this without our dedicated staff and volunteers!
A Youth Leadership Coach (YLC) is a college-aged coach that serves Christ and this community of kids during the Spring & Fall semesters after-school. Paid!
They are fully focused on providing a safe and encouraging environment to learn about Christ, foundational education through hands-on learning, leadership qualities and skills, while having fun!
